At approximately 10:40 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, a 27-year-old man and 40-year-old man were traveling west on Middle Country Road in Coram near the intersection of Winfield Davis Drive in a Volkswagen when they were each struck by one bullet.

Police said that the bullets were fired from a passing motor vehicle. No description of the shooters or vehicle has been provided by investigators.

Both men were treated and transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries following the shooting.
